Testing will be done on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 10 am weather permitting. If the siren testing cannot be completed on the 1st Wednesday of the month, then the testing will be postponed until the next good weather day.
Testing will NOT be done when there is threatening weather in the forecast for the testing day.
Additional testing of sirens may be needed if a mechanical or electrical issue has surfaced at which time repairs will be made. This may cause the need to test the sirens at odd times. Notifications will be posted on the Piedmont City Fire Department Facebook page, city website and the Piedmont City/Chamber of Commerce text app.
